Hello and welcome back to my blog! So, you have probably seen the title of this week's post and that's why you're here. You want to hear (or at least read) my thoughts on the Self Heating mask by Garnier. I'm not going to make this a lengthy post and jabber on, I'm simply going to tell you my thoughts and the experience that I had with the mask.
When I bought this face mask, I wasn't actually looking for one, I just came across it. I thought that because it was self-heating it was pretty cool and had to see if it actually worked. The mask comes in two separate pouches. You tear them apart and can use one at a time. So that way, you're not wasting any product. There's the perfect amount for one full face per pouch.
When I opened it, the texture was like most clay type masks and wasn't too thick, it's a lovely pale blue shade to match the packaging. As I applied a little of the product onto my fingers, I couldn't feel any heat, however; within seconds of putting it on my face, I could definitely feel a little heat and the warm sensation getting warmer. It doesn't hurt the skin and there was no type of burning sensation, but I could feel the heat 100% which is why I didn't put it too close to my eyes. It had a nice scent but I don't know how to describe it, helpful I know haha. I left it on for about 3-5 minutes then proceeded to wash it off with warm water and a flannel. Then continued with my normal skincare routine.
Now, the question is, would I recommend this product to you? My answer is yes 100%, my skin felt a lot softer after using it and didn't feel tight at all which normally happens when I use face masks. The 'sauna' mask was different, a good different but I don't know whether it made a massive difference in my skin. Maybe if I used it on a regular basis like advised it would make a difference, but I use a face mask to pamper occasionally rather than daily. If you're looking for a new fun mask to try out then go for it.
You can get the mask in most drugstores in store and online I believe, I got mine from a shop called body care, but I don't know how big a store franchise they are. That's all from me, I hope some of you try this mask and if you do, let me know your thoughts. Make sure to check out my Instagram and Facebook and other blog posts as well, bye for now!
