Hello, everyone!
This weeks post is a little different. I thought with fathers day coming up at the weekend I would create a gift guide for those people who are struggling for ideas on what to get or do. I will include things that are all different prices and some things that cost next to nothing.
When it comes to buying gifts it can be difficult, you either have no clue or what you think might be a good idea is what you got last year, not that there is anything wrong with that but if you are looking for something a little different then hopefully this will help you out.
So, I have come up with a few things that would be perfect gifts for dads, granddads, etc. Before I start, I would like to say that whoever you are buying for are more than likely going to have different tastes and interests to others. I am going to include a few different ideas that I think, hopefully, will cover nearly every type of person.
First off, if you have more of an adventurous dad, then a great idea might be buying an experience day. Many sites do this, for example, Virgin Experience Days, Redletterday and Buy a gift. There are more, but those are just a few sites you can look through. Now, these experience days all vary in prices and activity; maybe you want to go for a stadium tour, drive a fancy car or just grabbing a bite to eat, endless opportunities.
Next, we have more common and the go-to gifts for everyone which is giftsets, aftershave, razors, clothes and shoes. Maybe they're in need of some new trainers, or they have been talking about a piece of clothing they've had their eye on for a while. Clothes can be bought from most shops unless you know they prefer a particular brand, you can also look online. As for the other stuff, Boots are great; they always have great offers and deals on for each time of the year for different occasions. You can't go wrong, men's fragrances are discounted, exclusive toiletries sets.
So, maybe, like me, you have a dad or stepdad that is into cooking and food. Something that I always look for is cool kitchen gadgets. Even a fancy cheese board is a hit in my house. There are a tonne of different things you could get. For example, I got one of those flat whisks, which you can have it has a whisk then it goes flat, making it easier to clean. Colourful knife set, knife sharpener, you can get all these from your regular supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, etc. Amazon is also great for stuff like that.
Personalised gifts, these are ideal for adding a little something more personal to a gift, so it's unique to them. There are many sites nowadays that do personalised gifts, such as; not on the high street.com and prezzy box.
If you don't have much money to buy gifts then simply just days out, cooking tea, going for a drink at a pub, all these are just as great, its the thought that counts not the money you spend.
Last but not least, gadgets! Now, everyone likes a gadget or two don't they. Whether it's some headphones, speaker, something for their phone/computer or even their car. There's always cool weird stuff on the internet you can find.
I hope this gave a few of you some ideas on gifts. Like I said before everyone's different, this was just for those who have little or no ideas on what to get. If you already know or have a tradition of getting the same thing every year, then that's fine. I hope you enjoyed reading and have a great Fathers Day!
A x
