MONTHLY FAVOURITES | JUNE

It's the end of the month, so it is time to share with you, my favourite things from the month of June. I can't believe we are half way through the year already, time honestly goes so fast.

TV Shows - This month I have been on Netflix way too much, there's 4, yes 4, TV shows that I have been binge watching. Firstly, OITNB (Orange Is The New Black ) released their brand new season 5 which I have been waiting forever for. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but it's amazing and definitely worth watching, especially if you haven't seen it. Another show I have been loving is RuPaul's Drag race, I believe this was out before June, but I started watching this month. It's the best entertainment ever, all the Queens are hilarious and super shady, whatever you do, it must go on your to watch list. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS yes, this month on Netflix the last ever episode of PLL was streamed, and we also got to find out who A was after all these years. Again, I won't spoil it, but if you've seen it let me know what you think, did you have any idea who A was? Last but not least, Girlboss, this is a series based upon the book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso who is also the founder of well-known fashion company Nasty Gal, that's basically what the series is about but kind of a more amped up version of events.

Garnier Face Mask - I picked up this facemask just for fun and to try it out because it said it was a self-heating facemask. I am going to be doing a blog post about it, so I won't go into much detail and keep your eyes peeled. Exclusive - It's good. Otherwise, it wouldn't be in my monthly favourites.

Notebooks - I picked up a couple cute notebooks from the pound shop, and they are so cute, they're pink with a geometric style on the front, you get 2 for £1, can't go wrong. They also have some other patterns as well.

Jumpsuit - So, at the beginning of the month we had some lovely weather here in England, (not so much atm) but I don't really have a lot of summer clothes at all. One thing I did have which was perfect was a stripy jumpsuit from Topshop which was perfect, then if you wear it in the night, you can throw a little denim jacket over it, if it gets a little chilly.

Until next month!

WHATS IN MY BAG

When it comes to bags, I'm not much of a collector. I only have two bags. Don't get me wrong though, if a bag catches my eye and I fall in love, I will 100% purchase it. With that being said, I'm going to share with you what essentials I keep in my bag. I tend to use my black Zara bag just because it goes with everything; however, I can still fit all these things (minus a thing or 2) in my little Jack Wills bag.

Clips+Bobbles - First things first, (I'm the realest), I'm sorry, I just had to put that. Anyway, the thing I probably have the most of scattered around in the bottom of my bag (along with loose change and endless scrunched receipts) is hair clips and bobbles. One round my wrist and the others all over.

Spray - If I am going out for the day, I will probably take some kind of spray with me, whether it be perfume, body mist or deodorant. I just feel sometimes you just need a little top up, as most don't last as long as we'd wish. My go-to fragrances are either the Victoria Secret body mists or Jimmy Choo perfume.

Purse - Depending on which bag I use I will take my purse (usually the Zara bag) but it doesn't fit in my Jack Wills bag, so I tend to keep any cards or money I need for the day in the little zip pocket. My purse is from Topshop, but I don't think they sell it anymore.

Lipbalm/Lipstick - So, if I am wearing lipstick, then I would take that lipstick with me to top it up, but for them days that I don't, I prefer to keep a lip balm in my bag. My favourite is the Mint Carmex lip balm in the tube.

Keys - Now, unfortunately, I don't drive so the only keys I keep in my bag are my house keys.

Headphones - If I am going on a long journey or walk I will take my headphones with me and listen to music on Spotify. The earphones I use are the Apple EarPods, the ones you usually get with your phone.

Portable charger - Again, if I am going somewhere for the day where I won't get a chance to sit down and plug my phone in. I take this portable charger I got from Amazon (it's actually my boyfriends, but sharing's caring). Although, I have got my eye on the peachy portable charger from Skinny Dip to match my phone case.

Phone - Last but not least, I keep my phone in my bag, I don't really like having it in my pocket in case someone pinches it, or it falls out because it's that big. I have the iPhone 6Plus.
BTW I use my phone to take blog photos but wanted to show off my case, that's why it has no phone in it:)

That's pretty much everything I keep in my bag. Some days I might throw a few extra things in, depending on what I'm doing, but these are the essentials that I pretty much have with me all the time. I hope you enjoyed reading, let me know some of the things that you like to keep in your bag.

GIFT GUIDE | FATHERS DAY

Hello, everyone!

This weeks post is a little different. I thought with fathers day coming up at the weekend I would create a gift guide for those people who are struggling for ideas on what to get or do. I will include things that are all different prices and some things that cost next to nothing.

When it comes to buying gifts it can be difficult, you either have no clue or what you think might be a good idea is what you got last year, not that there is anything wrong with that but if you are looking for something a little different then hopefully this will help you out.

So, I have come up with a few things that would be perfect gifts for dads, granddads, etc. Before I start, I would like to say that whoever you are buying for are more than likely going to have different tastes and interests to others. I am going to include a few different ideas that I think, hopefully, will cover nearly every type of person.

First off, if you have more of an adventurous dad, then a great idea might be buying an experience day. Many sites do this, for example, Virgin Experience Days, Redletterday and Buy a gift. There are more, but those are just a few sites you can look through. Now, these experience days all vary in prices and activity; maybe you want to go for a stadium tour, drive a fancy car or just grabbing a bite to eat, endless opportunities.

Next, we have more common and the go-to gifts for everyone which is giftsets, aftershave, razors, clothes and shoes. Maybe they're in need of some new trainers, or they have been talking about a piece of clothing they've had their eye on for a while. Clothes can be bought from most shops unless you know they prefer a particular brand, you can also look online. As for the other stuff, Boots are great; they always have great offers and deals on for each time of the year for different occasions. You can't go wrong, men's fragrances are discounted, exclusive toiletries sets.

So, maybe, like me, you have a dad or stepdad that is into cooking and food. Something that I always look for is cool kitchen gadgets. Even a fancy cheese board is a hit in my house. There are a tonne of different things you could get. For example, I got one of those flat whisks, which you can have it has a whisk then it goes flat, making it easier to clean. Colourful knife set, knife sharpener, you can get all these from your regular supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, etc. Amazon is also great for stuff like that.

Personalised gifts, these are ideal for adding a little something more personal to a gift, so it's unique to them. There are many sites nowadays that do personalised gifts, such as; not on the high street.com and prezzy box

If you don't have much money to buy gifts then simply just days out, cooking tea, going for a drink at a pub, all these are just as great, its the thought that counts not the money you spend.

Last but not least, gadgets! Now, everyone likes a gadget or two don't they. Whether it's some headphones, speaker, something for their phone/computer or even their car. There's always cool weird stuff on the internet you can find.

I hope this gave a few of you some ideas on gifts. Like I said before everyone's different, this was just for those who have little or no ideas on what to get. If you already know or have a tradition of getting the same thing every year, then that's fine. I hope you enjoyed reading and have a great Fathers Day!

HOLY GRAIL MAKEUP REMOVER | MICELLAR WATER

Hello, everybody, I hope everyone is well and looking forward to reading this new blog post. I'm sure you already guessed what it could be about from the title. Whether you have or not keep on reading, you won't want to miss this.

So I'm sure that everyone that is reading this has different ways they like to remove their makeup. Some people use the everyday makeup wipes, others might prefer creams or balms, and some may even just use water and soap. Now, there are a bunch of different ways, as well as these, that you can do to remove your makeup. My favourite and go to method is using Micellar water.

Right, a few of you might be like, what is micellar water and how does it work. Well, it contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse.

What I tend to do is apply some of the micellar water onto a cotton face pad. Starting with my eye makeup and then work on my face makeup. I only have to use two cotton pads; it just breaks down the makeup so quickly. I do still go and wash my face with some face wash, just to make sure its all off and I can apply my moisturiser. However, if I didn't have any makeup on then I would just use micellar water. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and clean. It's so gentle on the skin, and there is no need to rub hard like other methods, such as makeup wipes.

So what I use is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, this particular one comes in three sizes. 125ml which is ideal for a weekend away, 400ml which is usually the size I see most people go for and then they have a 700ml which is the one I get because you get so much for a great price. I will say, the prices do vary and sometimes change but only by a pound or two, but they nearly always have offers on in Boots, either save a 1/3 or 3 for 2 on skincare. You can't beat a good deal, can you?! Personally, I think that they are such an inexpensive product and great value for money.

Garnier has three other micellar water you can try; they also have other micellar based products in different formulas, such as wipes and gel washes.

Here are some links to the other micellar waters:

Of course, there are a tonne of different brands that always have micellar water, but this is the first and last one I have used. This product I highly recommend purchasing, it's value for money, and it does the job. I hope that this helped some you discover a different way to take off your makeup, and if you try any of the micellar products, let me know what you think.
