We all love makeup and even more so when we can get such amazing products for such little prices. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite drugstore products at the minute. Now, there will be a few makeup products that I won't have included because they're not drugstore, for example, the highlighter I use is from MAC. The products mentioned, I will have used myself and think that they would be great for you to try.
EYEBROW GEL AND POMADE
Recently in the last few weeks, I bought the new L'oreal Paradise pomade (£9.99) to see if it was any different from others I had tried. The fact you get a little brush with it as well is great, the brush is the perfect size to give small even strokes of product and it is very durable, it stayed on all day and didn't smudge. I had to really try to get the product off. While I was browsing the loreal counter they had a 3for2 offer on so I bought their Brow Artist brow gel (£6.99) to accompany the pomade definitely made my hairs stay in place, I use it on its own sometimes.
FOUNDATION
L'oreal True Match (£9.99). This is my holy grail drugstore foundation, it leaves my skin so smooth looking and has amazing coverage. It doesn't even feel heavy on my skin, it has a dewy finish but you can add some powder to make it more matte. This is my go-to foundation, for when I tan this is the foundation I use to get a darker shade. 100/10
EYELINER
I am rubbish at applying eyeliner so would never buy something super expensive unless it did my eyeliner for me. The Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen (£6.50) was the first eyeliner I used and have stuck to it since. It is a very dark black and buildable without it cracking when putting on more than one coat.
EYESHADOW
The NYX Hot Single eyeshadows are great, I have done a blog post about them before so go check them out. The fact they're only £2.50 and you can also buy an empty palette to create your own is even better.
LIPS
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick comes in a bunch of shades, from natural to colorful. For just £7 they're a great addition to your makeup bag. They do leave a matte finish but OH MY GOD the colour pigment is AMAZING and there's so much product.
BRUSHES
Apart from two NYX brushes, Real Techniques are the only brushes I own. Now you can get some of there brushes for under £10 which is why I have included them, but you can also get them in a set which may be better value for money depending on what type of brush you want. I have never used any other brush or sponge so I guess you could say they're the best.
3 IN 1 BRONZE, HIGHLIGHT, BLUSH
This product Rimmel London Sculpting Palette couldn't be better for a 3in1, each shade is subtle but buildable and super easy to apply. The only downside is that they don't have a big shade range but they are definitely handbag friendly.
LASHES
The Eylure lashes (from around £5 upwards, vary depending on the style of the lash) are great value for money and you can get so many uses out of them. They're thick enough to apply without them being flimsy and losing shape easy. I have tried about 4 different types from natural to dramatic, every time I've had no problem.
CONCEALER
For concealer, two of my favourites are the Maybelline FIT Me (£5.99) and Maybelline Eraser Eye (£8.99). They both just give great coverage, I think the only way they're different is they have slightly different shades available and the way its applicated. The Fit Me concealer is on a wand so you can get little bits of product out at a time. Whereas the Eraser Eye you twist the product out through a sponge so you can kind of use more if yure not careful.
I hope you try some of these products for yourself and love them just as much as i do. Let me now of your favorutie drugstore products, i am always looking for recommendations.
Until next time,
Ax
