MONTHLY FAVOURITES | SEPTEMBER

It's the end of the month, so it is time to share with you, my favourite things from the month of September.

Clothes - My boyfriend bought me two denim skirts, one black and one, well denim. I've wanted one for ages because I think you can wear them casually or dress them up.

TV Shows - Season 6 of AHS. It was a weird one, I wasn't sure what was happening at first because it was a tv show about a tv show but with all the usual ASH cast members from previous seasons. It was good but interesting, but if you're an AHS fan then I'm sure you've seen it already, if not watch them! Start from season 1.

Camera ring light - I bought a ring light that fits onto your camera rather than a big stand up one, one because if I didn't use it then it wouldn't be £60 down the drain but also to see whether it was worth it or would make a difference to my pictures/videos. It is great and so bright, however, it does use batteries super quick but apart from that, it's great.

ANATOMICALS | NO MORE WHITE BITS

I love a bit of fake tan now and again, the lovely glowy skin and just feeling fabulous. I mean the process is what we all dread but the final result is definitely worth it right? Some of you may have never used fake tan or if you do, always stick to one brand. NowI'mm going to see if I can change your mind.

What if I told you, that you could buy a fake tan that would only cost you £4. You'd think I was kidding, think again, it actually exists. A brand I have worked with before and you will have seen on my blog already is, Anatomicals. Again, they were kind enough to send me their No More White Bits Fake Tan and Shimmer Sparkle Bronzing Gel. The name is a genius, simply saying that this tan will do the trick.

I prepped my skin before as I do whenever I am going to tan. I used a tanning mitt to apply the tan, it is mousse form which I think is better to apply and you don't use as much unless you want to go over it. It covered nicely and didn't streak, with it being an instant tan, I could see a difference in my skin already, and corrected any little bits that might have too much or need spreading a bit more with a face brush. It felt just like any other tan that I've used before. After letting it set for a few minutes, I applied the bronzing gel just a little over my chest and collar bones area to add a little extra shimmer, just the right amount of shimmer as well which was great as I didn't want to look like a glitter ball.

Overall? I would recommend this, I think maybe go a shade darker than you normally would, I do that anyway just because I like a deeper darker tan. For £4 you can' complain really. It gave an even tan, even when mixed with the bronzing gel, reasonably good coverage and lasted almost two days. Whether you want to try fake tan for the first time, need some quick and cheap for last minute or anything really, give this a try and if you do, let me know your thoughts.

Check out my Instagram and Facebook and give me a follow/like. I also have a little video up on my Instagram of me using this tan.

TOP 10 DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS UNDER £10

We all love makeup and even more so when we can get such amazing products for such little prices. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite drugstore products at the minute. Now, there will be a few makeup products that I won't have included because they're not drugstore, for example, the highlighter I use is from MAC. The products mentioned, I will have used myself and think that they would be great for you to try.

EYEBROW GEL AND POMADE
Recently in the last few weeks, I bought the new L'oreal Paradise pomade (£9.99) to see if it was any different from others I had tried. The fact you get a little brush with it as well is great, the brush is the perfect size to give small even strokes of product and it is very durable, it stayed on all day and didn't smudge. I had to really try to get the product off. While I was browsing the loreal counter they had a 3for2 offer on so I bought their Brow Artist brow gel (£6.99) to accompany the pomade definitely made my hairs stay in place, I use it on its own sometimes.

FOUNDATION
L'oreal True Match (£9.99). This is my holy grail drugstore foundation, it leaves my skin so smooth looking and has amazing coverage. It doesn't even feel heavy on my skin, it has a dewy finish but you can add some powder to make it more matte. This is my go-to foundation, for when I tan this is the foundation I use to get a darker shade. 100/10

EYELINER
I am rubbish at applying eyeliner so would never buy something super expensive unless it did my eyeliner for me. The Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen (£6.50) was the first eyeliner I used and have stuck to it since. It is a very dark black and buildable without it cracking when putting on more than one coat.

EYESHADOW
The NYX Hot Single eyeshadows are great, I have done a blog post about them before so go check them out. The fact they're only £2.50 and you can also buy an empty palette to create your own is even better.

LIPS
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick comes in a bunch of shades, from natural to colorful. For just £7 they're a great addition to your makeup bag. They do leave a matte finish but OH MY GOD the colour pigment is AMAZING and there's so much product.

BRUSHES
Apart from two NYX brushes, Real Techniques are the only brushes I own. Now you can get some of there brushes for under £10 which is why I have included them, but you can also get them in a set which may be better value for money depending on what type of brush you want. I have never used any other brush or sponge so I guess you could say they're the best.

3 IN 1 BRONZE, HIGHLIGHT, BLUSH
This product Rimmel London Sculpting Palette couldn't be better for a 3in1, each shade is subtle but buildable and super easy to apply. The only downside is that they don't have a big shade range but they are definitely handbag friendly.

LASHES
The Eylure lashes (from around £5 upwards, vary depending on the style of the lash) are great value for money and you can get so many uses out of them. They're thick enough to apply without them being flimsy and losing shape easy. I have tried about 4 different types from natural to dramatic, every time I've had no problem.

CONCEALER
For concealer, two of my favourites are the Maybelline FIT Me (£5.99) and Maybelline Eraser Eye (£8.99). They both just give great coverage, I think the only way they're different is they have slightly different shades available and the way its applicated. The Fit Me concealer is on a wand so you can get little bits of product out at a time. Whereas the Eraser Eye you twist the product out through a sponge so you can kind of use more if yure not careful.

I hope you try some of these products for yourself and love them just as much as i do. Let me now of your favorutie drugstore products, i am always looking for recommendations.
Until next time,
 Ax
