MONTHLY FAVOURITES | JULY

It's the end of the month, so it is time to share with you, my favourite things from the month of July. So sorry for being slightly MIA this month, I have just started a new job and have been busy with other things, but now I am back and ready to focus!

TV Shows - Jane The Virgin, so I watched the first series when it first came to Netflix, then it took a while for the other seasons to be added and I completely forgot about it so have been binge watching seasons 2+3. It's hard to explain what type of series it is, its a mixture of everything and I definitely recommend it!

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter - I have used this cleansing butter numerous times before and have always been a huge fan of The Body Shops products. I rediscovered it this month, and it makes your skin feel amazing and super soft, I either use a cleansing brush or just my hands, both work just as good.

REVIEW | WHATS IN IT FOR ME?

Again, I was lucky enough to be sent some products to try out and review on my blog for all my wonderful followers and views. This is a new brand that I hadn't ever heard of until I came across it on Instagram. The brand's idea is simplistic and indulgent, 'Whats in it for me' indicates that the consumer can feel pampered by using their products. The packaging is very plain and simple, white based background with the name of the brand, what the product is and a small list of the ingredients wrote across the front. The two products I was sent were the Hand Cream and Daily Shampoo.

HAND CREAM

Now, I don't usually use hand cream, but as I was sent it, I am obviously going to give it a try. Firstly the size is definitely handbag friendly, so when it's those winter nights, and your hands are getting dry and sore when you're out and about, you can easily carry it around with you. Since using the hand cream, my hands are definitely softer! As you can see on the packaging, the hand cream has many great ingredients that are good for the skin and also smell great! The smell of grapefruit is absolutely there along with different light fruity scents. It will certainly last you a while as well because you only need the smallest amount to cover your hands

DAILY SHAMPOO

On to the shampoo! Again with the shampoo, it has a great scent to it and isn't too overpowering, very fresh. It's very hydrating/moisturiser and leaves my hair really soft with a little shine in it. I like using shampoo and condition from the same brand, because most of the time they work better together, I'd love to see one come out from this brand. Now, I have really long hair and have to use quite a lot of pumps of product for it to cover my hair so it won't last as long as I would like.

I would like to thank What's in it for me? for sending me these products to try out. I absolutely recommend you all too try their products and let me know your thoughts on them!
Make sure to check out their Instagram and also these sites where you can purchase the products.

HOLY GRAIL TAN | BONDI SANDS

Hello and welcome back! This week's post is something incredibly exciting! I was super lucky to have received some products from Bondi Sands. They kindly sent me two of their self-tans to review.

Bondi Sands is originally an Aussie brand if you can't already tell, (Australia’s most famous Bondi beach) but have since branched worldwide. You can order from either their website Bondi Sands, Boots or Superdrug. I believe there are also other online beauty sites and also ASOS that stock the products. They are now one of, if not the most well-known Self-tan brand in the world.

Now, this was actually the first and only tan I have ever used. The first time I tried it, was just after my 18th Birthday. I tried the mist first rather than the other two. All are great, but I will give my opinions on the products I have tried and what my process is and then rank which is better for me.

Step 1 - Prep: Prepping your skin is probably one of the most important steps when applying fake tan. What I do is, shower, exfoliate my entire body and shave my arms and legs. I then dry myself and relax for about ten minutes, just to make sure that I am completely dry and my tan doesn't streak or go patchy.

Step 2 - Tanning Time: Now you're all ready to go ahead and start tanning. I use a tanning mitt either from Superdrug, Boots or even Primark, nothing too expensive, they all work the same in my opinion. I start on my legs and work my way up my body. Depending on what I'm wearing or tanning for, I might only tan certain parts of my body. I mean who wants to waste tan if no one is going to see it. I apply any of the products (I prefer to get the products in the shade dark, go big or go home right) and use circular motions to blend it into my skin. For the best results, I like to tan, leave it for an hour, put another layer on and then I often prefer to sleep with my tan on and leave it on as long as possible. I hate putting clothes on while it's still setting. But everyone is different and has different tanning processes; this just works the best for me to get the natural deep tan. When I tan my feet, hands, and face, I prefer to use the Real Techniques buffing brush to brush it on lightly, so it isn't so harsh on those areas.

Step 3 - The result: The best part in my opinion! You are now ready to get in the shower and become a bronze goddess. I jump in and have a quick shower with some body wash. I don't scrub or exfoliate; I just use my hands gently because I don't want the tan to come off just yet. Then after that, I will pat my skin dry with a towel rather than rub. Now you are ready to get dressed and go out, or stay in and relax, who am I to judge.

(The picture doesn't do it justice)
So, what is my verdict? 100/10. Highly recommend, fantastic value for money, in my opinion, you can't get any better, I have tried all three different Self-tan they offer; Mist, Foam, and Lotion. For me, I would rank them #1 Foam #2 Lotion #3 Mist. The Lotion and Foam are equally as good; I just feel you get more out of the foam and don't need much each time. As for the mist, it isn't my favourite; I would probably use it more for a top up than anything else, I just think you use too much at one time because it doesn't seem much when it's sprayed onto the skin. They all have a great coconut scent to them, and I'm not usually a fan of coconut. They are easily adaptable to what type of tan you want. It is 100% buildable and also the darker and deeper tan you want, just leave it on for longer. It is also such a natural looking tan!

I would love to try the Everyday Tanning Milk, the Liquid Gold dry oil and of course the BRAND NEW Tan Eraser. All are on my wish list. Let me know if you've ever tried these products before and if so, what are your favourites? If you have any questions about the products that I haven't talked about, then feel free to ask me!

*The below products were gifted to me*
SELF TANNING LOTION DARK - 200ML
SELF TANNING FOAM DARK - 110ML

I would just like to thank Bondi Sands again for sending me these amazing products and don't forget to check out their Instagram @bondisands
