MONTHLY FAVOURITES | JANUARY

It's the end of the month, so it is time to share with you, my favourite things from the month of January.

No7 Protect and Perfect Day Cream - Super hydrating, I wear it every day, and it is great under makeup.

Zara tote bag - It's my new favourite bag, and I use it ALL the time. It's just the right size, inexpensive and goes with all my outfits, bonus!

Benefit Gimme Brow - Perfect for setting my brows in place either with other eyebrow makeup on or just on its own to add a little colour to my brows as they are really fair.

Adidas Superstar Slip-on Trainers - These are unbelievably comfy, quick and easier to get on, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to putting shoes on, takes so much effort tying laces so couldn't go wrong with a pair of these.

NEW BAG ALERT

ZARA TOTE WITH METALLIC HANDLES

So ever since Christmas, I saw this bag and instantly fell in love. I had looked for a small, black bag that would go with anything for just day-to-day things because I only have the huge bag from H&M that I used for school, way too big for every day.

It was a little different because of the metal handles, so that's what I liked most about it. It has a detachable strap and an inner fabric bag inside. The only disadvantage to this bag is that it isn't very secure, it is only kept closed by a magnetic button and doesn't have any inside pockets. You can also get it in brown, it retails for £29.99.

EVERYDAY MAKEUP

This is my everyday makeup look or quick go-to makeup look, for those days where I wanna make an effort but not too over the top just for everyday activities, pretty simple and easy to do.
I will link everything I have mentioned, Enjoy.

Garnier Cleansing Wipes/Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water -  Obviously to begin with you want a nice fresh clean face when you're going to be doing your makeup. So to start I use either cleansing wipes or micellar water on a cotton face pad to remove any dirt I may have on my face.

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream -  Next I will apply some moisturiser, I have dry skin mainly on my nose so it's important for me to moisturise so the makeup doesn't dry out my skin anymore.

Benefit Porefessional Face Primer Balm Mini - Sometimes, but not always, I will use a primer, I have only ever really used this one but I definitely need to explore some others. I apply it over my nose and slightly spread it out over my face.

M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation 120 ML - As for foundation, I don't want a heavy, full coverage foundation so the MAC Face and Body is perfect, I use this in shade N2. It's a lot runnier than other foundations. It gives a light feeling and less coverage making the finish more dewy and natural. I use a damp beauty blender from Real Techniques to apply my foundation.

LA Girl Pro Concealer - To brighten the under eye area and neaten up certain areas I use this concealer in light ivory. I'm not 100% that the colour is a perfect match for my skin tone so next time I'm going to order a bunch of different ones and see which is a better match for mu skin tone. (I might even do a review on them)

L'Oreal Paris True Match Powder - This is a great powder to set my face with and get rid of any shiny areas on my face as the MAC foundation has a rather dewy finish, I use the shade Beige N4.

Collection Eyebrow Kit - I have fairly small, uneven, lightly coloured brows so I first go in with the blonde powder from the kit to create a shape and guideline for how I want my brows. It is easier to correct with a lighter colour than going straight in with a dark shade. That's why I use the blonde kit and not the brunette.

Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade - After creating a shape I go over them with the pomade (using a NYX dual brow brush) for a sharper and a better colour match to my hair, I use the shade dark brown. I also add the brown and black powder from the collection kit to fill in any sparse areas and neaten up the edges with concealer.

Benefit gimmie brow-volumizing brow gel mini - To finish off the brows I use a brow gel to set them in place and stop those annoying hairs that just stick out. I have the colour 05.

Benefit Hoola bronzer - Instead of looking like an egg, I use a bronzer to define and add a little colour to my face, I use the brush that comes with the bronzer and then a Real Techniques contour brush to blend it out evenly. I place it under my cheekbones like contouring and along my forehead.

Soap & Glory  Love at First Blush - I'll add some blush for a little extra cover and lightly brush it over my cheeks. I use the whiter shade from the blusher to add a bit of highlight on the tops of my cheekbones and on the cupids bow.

Benefit BADgal Lash mascara -  Last but not least I will apply my FAVOURITE mascara ever, after curling my eyelashes. I have nothing negative to say about this mascara at all, the formula is great and the brush is really the only style I like.

So that is my Everyday makeup and the products I use, I hope you enjoyed reading and try some of these products out for yourself if you haven't already, and let me know your opinions.
What is your FAVOURITE makeup item and from which brand?

Bye for now

REVIEW | No7 City Lights Beauty Collection

Since it is the New Year, I thought I would post a review of last years No7 Christmas Star Gift that I treated myself to. It was retailed at £80 but then became half price at Boots as they do with Christmas gifts around the Christmas period. The contents are way more than the gift was on sale for so how could I resist. They are all full-sized products as well! The box will not be on sale for much longer, but I will link the items separately down below.

Here's a list of what was included;

50ml No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream - I have been using the cream every morning, and it keeps my skin hydrated pretty much up until I'm ready to have a wash and go to bed.

50ml No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream - Same with the night cream, great hydration, perfect to put on after I've washed my face and I spray a little of The Body Shop Vitamin E mist over the top.

30ml No7 Airbrush Away Primer - So I know a few people who also got this box, and the one thing they all said was the best thing in the box was the primer. For me I don't really have much luck with primers, they all seem to have the same result and don't make a huge difference when applying my makeup. I would still recommend the primer because it did help parts of my face but for areas such as my nose it didn't do a lot.

7ml No7 Midnight Lash Mascara Black - The formula is great, but I couldn't get my lashes the way I wanted because the wand was a different shape to what I'm used to.

2.8g No7 Lovely Lips Lip Balm Parisian Pink - The colour isn't really my shade. I'm quite pale, and it's a light pink tone to it which kinda washes my skin out a little, so as a lip balm, regarding hydration I don't really know because I haven't worn it for long enough.

10ml No7 Gel Finish Nail Polish Deep Wine - I put the nail polish on straightway, a lovely finish and I have always like the brush No7 have in the nail polishes, they cover and coat the nails a lot better and easier.

250ml No7 Beautiful Skin Blissful Body Wash - This body wash has such a sweet scent to it, I use it every time I shower, you don't need to use a lot at a time either which makes it last longer.

200ml No7 Beautiful Skin Perfecting Body Polish - I use this a little before and after shaving my legs to remove dead skin, leaves them feeling super soft.

200ml No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Body Serum - A little goes a long way, I put this on after shaving my legs, and it makes them feel silky smooth.
